I am having laser eye surgery done at the Lasik MD center in Halifax in a week…can anyone give me some insight into what to expect…also an idea of the price (they tell you they can’t give a price until they evaluate your eyes)….any info would be great!

For anyone who doesnt know, LASIK MD is basically is a laser eye procedure which improves your vision to near 20/20 sight. I have read the testimonials and they sound convincing but I am still hesitiant. I need to know someone who has and if it is really worth it.

I’ve scheduled a consultation with the Lasik MD office in Hamilton and would really like to get the procedure done. There are many offices and I have scheduled mine in Hamilton.

Currently my perscription is very light…right eye (-1.25) and left eye (-1.50), but I am tired of needing glasses and want to be free from them. I pretty much need them all the time or anything of distance is blurry and if I want sunglasses they needed to be a perscription as well.

What was your experience and how much did your procedure cost?

I’m 20, I’ve worn glasses since I was 3 yrs old. My Rx is Right Sphere: +5.00, Right Cylinder: -.50, Axis in R eye: 120. LS: +5.75, LC: -.75, Left Axis: 35. My Rx usually goes up a little bit each year, but nothing major.
My biggest eye problem is that the muscles around my left eye will pull it in 1 direction, will Lasik correct this to?
Has anyone in the military had Lasik done? If so, can you tell me how long it took, what you felt during it, etc?

Where can I go to check on his credential and if he had any complaints or lawsuits.

My mother is getting laser eye surgury done next week by a doctor by the name of Richard Bains. She is getting it done by LASIK MD. If anyone has any concerning news about this company or more importantly this doctor, that would be great to know.
Also i would like to give her some warnings on what to look for when getting it done. Any Help would be great….
